Mail counselling for students
If you are enrolled in one of the Universities of Bern (University of Bern, Bern University of Applied Sciences BFH, University of Teacher Education PHBern), you can send us your concerns and questions by e-mail. You may include technical questions as well as personal matters.
We’ll get back to you as soon as possible, usually within a week. If that is not the case, do not hesitate to contact us again. Your concerns are important to us. Our counsellors will treat your concerns confidentially and free of charge.
As not every question can be answered by e-mail, we will suggest a personal consultation with us if necessary.
Please note:
- that the mail counselling for students is only conducted during the opening hours of the Counselling Centre. Outside the opening hours and during the holidays (Christmas etc.) there are no mail counselling sessions.
- that the mail counselling for students is not intended for making appointments. Appointments for a personal consultation should be made by phone (031 635 24 35) or in person at the Office of the Centre (Erlachstrasse 17, Bern).
In case of a personal crisis, you can contact us during office hours personally or by phone (Erlachstrasse 17, Bern, +41 31 635 24 35) or reach out to the Crisis Intervention Center (Tel. 031 632 88 11).
The online transmission is usually not a problem. However, there is no complete security. For this reason, we recommend being cautious with sensitive and personal information.
